Greatest Hits - Back to the Barn

(Part of my “Greatest Hits” series, celebrating families I’ve photographed over the years.)

Back in 2017, I took this family’s photos for the first time. One of my favorite shots from that day was them holding hands in front of the big red barn door, with the kids in the middle.

Fast forward to now: same family, same barn, same pose, but this time those “little ones” are 11 and 13. It’s wild how quickly time passes, but I love seeing how their connection is the same…just a little taller now.

Getting to photograph families year after year (and sometimes, photo after photo in the same spot!) is one of the most special parts of this work. Watching everyone grow and change, but still seeing the same love shine through, that’s what keeps me coming back behind the camera.
