One day back in December I gave my four year old a candy cane - his first.  Like all kids, he was so excited to get an unexpected treat.  Now, since getting my new camera, I've noticed my little guy shying away from getting his picture taken.  Which is unlike him.  My new camera is a little bigger with bigger lens and I think that intimidated him.  But on this day, his pure delight could not be squandered and he decided to make friends with my new camera.

My brother owns a chain of barbershops, called...hmmm the name escapes me now, but they are all in Grand Rapids, MI.  Anyway, every now and again I'll do some graphic design work for him.  But this time, knowing of my growing interest in photography, I was hired to shoot pictures for billboards.  I had the opportunity to shoot four stylists who actually work at the barbershops.  Not only are all four ladies beautiful, but they have amazing attitudes too.  These pictures were shot two days after Thanksgiving in downtown Grand Rapids where the temps were near freezing, but you'd never know it just looking at the pictures.  Here are a few of my favorites...
